The National Police Service is investigating the abduction and torture of UDA Party spokesperson and Deputy President Willian Ruto’s follower, Denis Ole Itumbi.
The police through a statement early Friday advised Kenyans to stop speculating on the incident.
My brother has been badly beaten. We thank God that he is alive. On his own account he was arrested by police and beaten and tortured. This is the state we found him in. Early Thursday, Itumbi was arrested by people believed to be police officers for his failure to pay for child support.
By evening his family had raised alarm that he couldn’t be found in any police station.
