Kenyans.co.ke was paid handsomely by Deputy President William Ruto to show him leading in little-known Intel Research Solutions poll, according to insiders.
Only the popular blog carried the story of the backstreet polling company for the better part of the day.
A month ago, Kenyans.co.ke also showed polls belonging to the company.
In all the polls, DP Ruto is mysteriusly ahead of Raila Odinga. Something that is off considering seasoned polling firms put the Azimio La Umoja flag bearer ahead.
For example, Infotrak Research and Consulting showed that Raila has moved ahead of Ruto after months of trailing.
The survey conducted in all the 290 constituencies said 42 per cent of the respondents would vote for Raila while 38 per cent named Deputy president William Ruto as their preferred candidate.
Two more research firms, TIFA and Mizani Africa put Raila Odinga ahead of Ruto.
It is therefore strange to have one unknown and unverified company always showing Ruto ahead. IRS was also not releasing their opinion polls when Raila trailed behind Ruto, which was before June 2022.
Speaking anonymously to kanairo.city, the insider said the Kenya Kwanza flagbearer paid Kes500k for the first polls and Kes500k for the current one.
