Kieni Member of parliament Kanini Kega now claims that Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Johnson Sakaja dropped out of the University of Nairobi after completing his first year in 2007 to join Vijana na Kibaki.
Speaking in Narumoru in his Kieni constituency, Kega said that Sakaja is his long-time friend. After dropping out, Kega says Sakaja did not enroll again to complete his degree.
“I want to confirm for the records that Sakaja has been my friend for a long time, and I know that he dropped out of campus in 2007. I was with him in 2007 when he dropped out. I had graduated myself, but he had not. He dropped to join Vijana na Kibaki,” Kanini.
He said as Sakaja presents his degree to the IEBC, he should look for it elsewhere but not at the University of Nairobi as it is not on the list.
“If he is looking for a degree, let him look for it elsewhere but not at the UON because those of us who have gone through there are proud of it, and we even have photos to show, and we also have colleagues that we can say we graduated together.”
He said the candidates who lack proper education certificates are all from the UDA party.
